Horse Awards & the Adult Education Grant both have volunteer hour requirements.
Horse Awards: For Horse Awards the owner, rider or designated representative, must donate eight (10) hours of service to MODA, Region 2 or USDF. This includes volunteering at USEF recognized dressage shows. A designated representative is any individual who has agreed to transfer their service hours to a member. If you’re showing, bring a friend as his/her hours would count—there are plenty of jobs that do not require any experience. Contact the Volunteer Coordinator or Awards Chairperson if you have questions about how and where to obtain service hours.
Adult Educational Grant: Candidate must volunteer a total of twenty two (24) hours. Six (6) hours must be on the show grounds at one of the MODA USDF/USEF Sactioned Shows. Transporting judges or equipment and other jobs (by decision of the Board) will qualify as show grounds time. The other sixteen (18) hours may include other MODA activities, i.e. schooling shows, clinics, etc.
